Control panel installation

When using vehicle-specific or manufacturer-specific
control panels, the electrical connection must be
made according to the Truma interface descriptions. Any
modifications to the associated Truma parts will invalidate
the warranty and preclude any liability claims. The installer
(manufacturer) is responsible for providing the user with op-
erating instructions and the information that is printed on the
control panels.
When choosing a location, please ensure that neither the
front nor the rear of the control panel is subjected to direct
heat radiation.
Length of connector cable 3 m. If required, a 5 m cable exten-
sion is available (combined length of 8m) (part no. 34300-01).
If it is only possible to install the control panel behind curtains
or in similar locations with an inconsistent temperature, a re-
mote sensor must be used to monitor the room temperature
(part no. 34201-01).
If the control panels cannot be flush-mounted, Truma
can provide an on-surface frame (71) as an accessory,
part no. 40000-06400.
Drill hole with diameter of 55 mm.
Connect the control panel cable (72) to the control panel (73)
and attach the rear blank cover (74) as strain relief.
Lead through the cable towards the rear and secure the con-
trol panel with 4 screws (75). Then attach the cover frame (76).

Truma supplies side parts (77) in eight different colours
to improve the appearance of the cover frames. Please
contact your dealer.
Route the control panel cable (72) to the device and attach to
the control electronics.

Secure the control panel cable (72) to the control electronics
using the provided cable binder (78) as strain relief.
The control panel cable is routed in reverse order de-
pending on installation, so connect it to the control elec-
tronics first and secure it with cable binders. Then route to the
control panel and connect to it.

230 V electrical connection
The 230 V electrical connection must always be made
by an expert (in accordance with VDE 0100, part 721 or
IEC 60364-7-721, for example, in Germany). The instructions
shown here do not constitute a request to non-experts to
make the electrical connection, but serve as additional infor-
mation for an expert who is employed to do the work!
Make the connection to the power supply by attaching the
150 cm long silicone cable to a line that is protected with at
least 10 A, preferably 16 A.
It is imperative that connection is carried out with care whilst
observing the correct cable colours!
An insulating device for providing all-pole insulation from
the mains with contact clearance of at least 3.5 mm must be
provided by the customer for carrying out maintenance and
repair work.

Function check

Before initial startup, the unit, the exhaust duct and
the leaktightness of the entire gas installation must be
checked by an expert (in accordance with the pressure
drop method).
In order to prevent damage to the electronics, it must always
be ensured that the warm air hoses are securely fastened to
the TEB-3 or TN-3 fan.
Then test all device functions as described in the operating
instructions.
The operating instructions must be handed over to the vehicle
owner.
