4 TROUBLESHOOTING

If you are having problems with the installation DON'T PANIC. It does not necessarily mean that the equipment is
faulty. Please follow the following chart to help you diagnose faults and remedy them quickly.

SOLUTION
Connect the mains cable and ensure that both the mains switch on
the front of the MusiQ and at the wall socket are ON.
Check the mains fuse located at the rear of the MusiQ
and also in the main plug.
If the unit is not a 'slave' ensure that switch 4
of CON FIG is UP = ON
Disconnect the plug from the Mic page socket.
It may be constantly shorted.
If MusiQs are daisy chained ensure that it is not another
unit that has its Mic socket shorted.
If there is no LED illumination on the keypads re-check the
corrections. They may be reversed. Check also for breaks in the data
cable. Connect the KMM to the MusiQ with a short length of data
cable to confirm fault/operation. If the unit is not a 'slave' ensure that
switch 4 CON FIG is UP = ON.
Ensure that the handset battery is ok and inserted correctly.
Check that the handset address and MusiQ address match.
Check the aerial is connected to the musiQ.
Ensure that switch 1 on the RF Handset is set differently on each.
ON/UP=Zone A, OFF/DOWN=Zone B.
Ensure that switch 1 at the rear of each keypad is set differently.
Ensure that switch 5 of CON FIG is set OFF = Down
If two MusiQ RFS units operate from a single handset you need to
change the address of one of the MusiQs.
This is done by altering switches 6, 7 and 8 of the CON FIG to a
different setting (see section 3.2).
