When using the wrong fuel or one which is too damp, due to deposits present in the flue, a flue fire is
possible.
Ensure children are aware of these dangers and keep them away from the furnace when it is on.

4.1. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
If a fire breaks out in the chimney or in the flue:
a) Close the loading door.
b) Close the combustion air registers.
c) Extinguish the fire using carbon dioxide extinguishers (powdered CO
d) Call the FIRE BRIGADES immediately.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE USING JETS OF WATER.
When the flue stops burning, have it checked by a specialist to identify any cracks or permeable points.
4.2. PROTECTING THE BEAMS
Considering the irradiation of the hearth, pay particular attention to protecting the beams when designing
your fireplace. Keep in mind both the proximity of the beams to the external faces of the hearth, and the
irradiation of the glass door, which is normally very close to the beams. In any case, remember that the
internal or lower faces of this beam in combustible material must not be in contact with temperatures above
65 ° C.
