22 General Power Tool Safety Warnings

22.1 Introduction

This chapter reproduces the pre-formulated, general safety
precautions specified in the IEC 60745 standard for hand-
held motor-operated electric tools.
STIHL is obliged to publish these texts.
The safety precautions and warnings on avoiding an electric
shock given under "2) Electric Precautions" do not apply to
STIHL cordless electric power tools.
WARNING
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow
the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions
for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-
operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless)
power tool.
