8.5.4 No coverage
If you move the handset too far from the base station, the handset issues
acoustic warning signals (only during calls).
8.5.5 Key beeps
An acoustic signal is issued each time a button on the handset is
pressed.
8.5.6 Set back handset
This function resets the handset to its default factory settings.
8.6

Base station settings

8.6.1 PIN code
The PIN code can contain up to four digits. The default setting of the PIN
code is 0000". If you change a PIN code, keep a note of the new PIN
code in a safe place. If you forget or lose the PIN code, please contact
our Service Hotline (refer to Chapter 9).
8.6.2 Tone (DTMF) or Pulse dialling mode
The telephone can be operated in a new, digital exchanges (TONE/
DTMF) as well as analogue exchanges (PULSE).
8.6.3 Flash time
The R button (7) can be assigned one of 8 different Flash times in order
to be able to use functions in private branch exchanges or
supplementary services offered by your telephone network provider.
8.6.4 Access code
In the case of private branch exchanges, it is necessary to dial a specific
number in order to obtain the dialling tone for an outside line. This
access code can be stored. When the telephone detects this access
code preceding a phone number entered, a dialling pause is
automatically inserted after the access code.
8.6.5 Set back BS
This function resets the base station to its default factory settings. The
PIN code must be entered in order to use the function.
