Explanations

8.1 R button on private branch exchanges
If the telephone is connected to a private branch exchange, all the
functions associated with the R button (7) such as transferring calls,
automatic call back, etc., can be used. A flash time of 100 ms is required
for private branch exchanges. The dealer where you purchased the
exchange can provide information as to whether the telephone will work
properly with the exchange.
8.2 R button and T−Net from Deutsche Telekom
Your telephone supports the most important supplementary services
provided by Deutschen Telekom (e.g. brokering, call waiting, three−way
conferencing, etc.). The R button (7) can be used when implementing
the T−Net functions offered by Deutschen Telekom. T−Net operates with
a Flash time of 250 ms. Please contact Deutsche Telekom with regard to
enabling the T−Net functions.
8.3 Call number display (CLIP)
The caller number display function is an optional service offered by
telephone network providers. Contact your network provider for further
information.
If this function is available with your telephone line, the number of the
caller appears in the display when the phone rings. If the caller has
suppressed transmission of his phone number, the corresponding
message appears in the display.
8.4 Call intern
This function is only available in the Bundle version.
8.5 Handset settings
8.5.1 Ringing melody
There are 6 different ringing melodies available for selection on the
handset.
8.5.2 Ringing volume
The ringing volume can be set to one of five different volume levels.
8.5.3 Battery low
When the battery charge is very low, the handset issues acoustic
warning signals (only during calls).
