1. Introduction

The ilmo 50 M WT motor is non-adjustable: a simple connection is all that is required. The
ilmo 50 M WT motor programs its end limits automatically.
The ilmo 50 M WT motor is designed to drive roller shutters fitted with rigid links and end stops
selected in accordance with the operating conditions described below.
The ilmo 50 M WT motor can be mounted either on the right or the left. It can be controlled from a
control point with a fixed position or momentary action-type switch
The ilmo 50 M WT motor is equipped with:
- obstacle protection to protect the roller shutter when it is being lowered.
- anti-freeze protection to protect the roller shutter when it is being raised.

2. Safety

2.1 General information

Before installing and using the product, please read the installation guide carefully.
This Somfy product must be installed by a professional motorisation and home automation installer,
for whom these instructions are intended.
Never begin installing without first checking the compatibility of this product with the associated equip-
ment and accessories.
These instructions describe how to install, commission and operate this product.
Moreover, the installer must comply with current standards and legislation in the country in which the
product is being installed, and inform his customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for
the product.
Any usage outside of applications defined by Somfy constitutes non-compliance, and is therefore not
covered by the guarantee. In this event, as for all usage
not consistent with the instructions given herein, Somfy
accepts no responsibility for harm or damage.

2.2 General safety advice

The safety instructions that must be observed, besides the
usual rules, are explained in these instructions and in the
attached "Safety Instructions" document.
1) Never immerse the motor in liquid!
2) Avoid impacts.
3) Do not drop it.
4) Never drill holes in the motor!
5) Always make a loop in the power supply cable to prevent
water from entering the motor!
