1. Preparations for Use

1.1 Battery Operation
1. Open the battery compartment by unscrewing the retaining screws on the
back side.
2. Insert 4 LR06 (AA) alkaline batteries into the battery compartment. Please
observe correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment and reinsert the screws.

1.2 Operation from the Power Mains

1. The unit can be run from the power mains with a power mains adapter
which puts out 9 V DC and 300-500 mA (tube plug, plus central).
2. Insert the plug into the DC socket (3) at the side of the unit. Any batteries in
the unit will be disconnected and can remain in the unit.

2. Operation

2.1. Frequency Measurements

1. Disconnect the measured item from its power supply. Use the included
measuring cables to connect the device to the input (black = ground, red =
Signal, with frequencies over 500 MHz use the special cable with probe).
2. Select the input which corresponds to the expected frequency range (10
MHz (17), 100 (16) or 2500 MHz (15)). Selection of the correct measuring
range guarantees a high sensitivity and a high resolution.
3. Set the range selector (11) to the correct range.
Batteries do not belong in household
garbage.
