Bulk-bags and holders

Certain Ex products are equipped with bulk-bag holders for collecting material.
Other collection methods may be used if the system risk analysis finds them to
be safe.
NOTE! Always use
approved bulk bags.
Place a bulk bag on a pallet and position it under the bulk-bag holder. The
buckle on the bulk-bag holder secures the bulk bag opening to the holder, see
Figure 7(A).
Connect the bulk-bag corner straps to the chains on the bulk-bag holder. Adjust
the tension by moving the quick link up or down the chain, see Figure 7(B).
NOTE! Do not hang bulk bags by their corner straps. Straps are only intended
to keep the bag from collapsing. The weight of the collected dust/material must
be supported by the pallet, see Figure 7(C).
NOTE! Connect the upper and lower ground wires to the bag.

Earth control measurement

Check for proper earth connection after both main installation and regular
maintenance work. If a component, such as the top module for example, is
removed and refitted, earth connection must be verified.

Use

WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
• Do not use vacuum cleaner to collect material that is caustic, hot, explosive,
highly flammable, chemically unstable, spontaneously ignitable, or which
can release sparks.
• Do not use if the ambient temperature exceeds 40°C.
• Only properly trained personnel are allowed to use this vacuum cleaner.
• Always use proper lifting equipment and protective gear when using lifting
lugs to lift vacuum cleaners.
• Do not place vacuum cleaner on an uneven surface.
• Do not expose the body to vacuum inlets when operating the unit.
CAUTION! Risk of equipment damage.
• Make sure compressed air pressure is between 6 and 8 bar.
• Turn off vacuum cleaner if liquid, dust or foam escapes from it.

Vacuuming

1.
Connect the compressed air hose to the ejector top.
WARNING!
Secure compressed air hose with the attached cotter pin before
use, see Figure 1(A).
2.
Open ball valve on ejector top to start vacuuming, see Figure 1(C).
NOTE! Clean the filter after each use.
NOTE! When the filter is clogged or the pre-separator is full, suction
power is reduced. Clean the filter and empty the pre-separator. See
Section 7 Maintenance.
