Connecting the FCT01-X
Connecting the AC Adapter/Power Supply and the Weighing Platform
Note:
The equipment must be outside the hazardous area/location during this
procedure. Installation must be performed by a trained technician.
§ Lay the terminal face down on a soft surface
§ Remove the screws indicated by the arrows in the drawing at left
§ Remove the front plate and stand the terminal upright on its feet
§ Connecting the weighing platform cable to the terminal:
Note:
The FCT01-X is equipped with a cable gland. Use caution when working with
the cable gland.
! Maximum cable length between the FCT01-X and the weighing platform
is 150 m (cable designation: LiYCY6x0.5
§ Preparing and installing the cable:
– Remove the threaded cap from the cable gland and slide it over the end
of the cable.
– Remove a length of the casing from the end of the cable (see drawing).
The shielding (1) must have contact with the retainer clips (2).
Fold back about 3 to 4 mm of the shielding so that it goes over the O-ring
(see drawing).
Expose approximately 15 cm of the cable wires (3) for connection within
the terminal.
– Thread the cable through the cable gland.
– Make sure the shielding is in contact with the retainer clips.
– Tighten the cable gland.
