Even for the least displacement, pull the power sup-

soon as it has been installed at the new place.
When loading the sifter with soil, do not introduce the
shovel into the rotating drum.
Use as authorized
The machine complies with the valid EC machine guideline.
The sifter has been built using modern technology in
accordance with recognized safety rules. Some remain-
ing hazards, however, may still exist causing injuries to
the operator or third persons, or causing damage to the
sifter or other objects.
Only use the sifter in technically perfect condition, and
only as authorized, being conscious of the risks and fol-
lowing the instructions given in this manual. Have any
defects impairing your safety repaired immediately.
The roller sieve has been designed for sieving compost,
gar den soil, cloddy sand, or mixing different kinds of
soil.
Carefully observe the instructions regarding safety, set-
ting up, electrical installation, and maintenance.
Relevant accident prevention regulations and other,
generally recognized safety-technical rules must also
be adhered to.
The sifter may only be used, maintained, and operated
by persons familiar with it and instructed in its opera-
tion and procedures. Arbitrary alterations to the imple-
ment release the manufacturer from all responsibility
for any resulting damages.
The sifter may only be used with original accessories
and tools made by the manufacturer.
Any other use exceeds authorization. The manufacturer
is not responsible for any damages resulting from un-
authorized use; risk is the sole responsibility of the

Soil is always filled into the drum from the front.
Before putting the implement into operation, observe the
safety instructions.
All guards and safety devices must be fitted.
After connection to the electrical power, your rs 400 is
ready for service.
Always attach the power cable to the clamp in the gusset
plate.
Setting up, Fig. 9
Depending on the place of setting up, incline the sieve
drum as required. Displace the hexagon bolt (arrow).
The degree of inclination depends on the type of soil to
be sieved.
For loose material we recommend more inclination, and
for solid material less inclination.
