Operation

Connect the machine to a suitable power source ac-
cording to the specifi cation plate on the machine. If the
electrical cable on the machine is damaged it should be
replaced.
Th e DC 3800c Twin is equipped with a fi lter indication
lamp that indicates when the fi lter needs cleaning or
changing. Th e fi lter is generally cleaned once or twice
daily during normal continuous operation.
Reverse pulse fi lter cleaning:
Alternative 1 (e.g. concrete grinding machine with fi xed
connection)
1. Start the machine. Note! 6 second start period.
2. Close the shutter valve.
3. Open the fi lter cleaning port with a quick mo
tion. Repeat three to six times. Th is reverse
pulse of air cleans the fi lter.
4. Open the shutter valve.
5. If not the fi lterindication lamp does not go out,
change fi lter.
Alternative 2 (e.g. suction hose connected for cleaning)

Service

With cleaning and maintenance on the machine, the power
cable should be disconnected from the supply. Fluids should
not come into contact with the motor. When cleaning with
fl uids the motor should be covered to anoid contact.
Th e fi ne fi lter should be changed at least once per year. Use
only original spare parts. Th e microfi lter should be changed
every 300 running hours. Use breathing protection during
a fi lter change. Th e operation should be performed in a
closed area. Used fi lters should be sealed in a plastic sack
and disposed of properly.
Check regularly that the electrical cable is not damaged.
1. Start the machine.
2. Disconnect the hose from the suction casing.
Put the free end of the suction hose over the
left handle. Push it towards the stop plate.
3. Open the fi lter cleaning port with a quick
motion. Repeat three to six times. Th is reverse
pulse of air cleans the fi lter.
4. Reconnect the hose to the suction casing.
5. If not the fi lterindication lamp does not go out,
change fi lter.
Th e plastic sack should be changed only after the fi lter
has been cleaned. Th e sack should be changed when the
dust level is about 5 cm under the foot valve. Th e plastic
sack should be sealed after removal from the machine.
Only use original Dustcontrol plastic sacks.
Th e DC 3800c Twin should be performance tested at least
once per year because it may be used with hazardous mate-
rials. Worn parts must be replaced. Never compromise the
function of the DC 3800c, use only original spare parts.
For vacuum motor the typical average life of the ori-
ginal brushes is 600 - 700 hours. Th ey can then be
exchanged or complete motor/fan replaced. For 2nd
brush set life is ca. 400 hours and for 3rd brush set ca.
300 hours. After that the commutator is worn out and
the motor needs to be replaced.
