• Monitor and telephones with the same user code all ring
simultaneously (regardless of whether they are main or
secondaries) on a call from the external unit and on a floor door
call.
• See variant C for Self-lighting function details.
• See variant D for Video Request function details.
• See variant F for Privacy function details.
• For a detailed description of the functions which can be set on
the pushbuttons, refer to the MT/SB2/02 Technical Manual

M
AIN OR SECONDARY MONITOR
Operation of the monitor as the following depends on the bracket
setting:
Main Monitor
The monitor set as Main (factory setting of bracket Art. 4714W/2I
and 5714/I) lights up on a call and on Self-lighting even if inserted
as an additional monitor with the same user code. In this case, the
monitor must be supplied separately by means of Art. 1212/B.
See variant C for the position of jumper JP1 of bracket Art.
4714W/2I set as main monitor or FT/SB2/07 regarding 5714/I.
Secondary monitor
The monitor set as Secondary does not light up on a call, but there
is the possibility of lighting it by pressing a pushbutton (Video
Request function). In this case, it is not possible to have the Self-
lighting function, remote camera and sequential switcher camera of
the monitor.
See variant D for the position of jumper JP1 of bracket Art.
4714W/2I to act as secondary monitor or FT/SB2/07 regarding
5714/I.
I
NTERCOM FUNCTIONS WHICH CAN BE PROGRAMMED FOR THE
PUSHBUTTONS
Every pushbutton of the internal extension can be programmed to
carry out a certain function (see MT/SB2/02 for the description of
the functions):
Intercom Call Function.
This allows audio communication between two units (video entry
phone or telephone) which are connected to the same Art. 4897.
Pressing the pushbutton programmed in this way activates the call
towards the unit which has the same user code as the one
programmed on the pushbutton. See paragraph: "intercom
communication" on page 31 for further details.
Intercom Group Call Function.
This allows audio communication between two units (video entry
phone or telephone) which are connected to the same Art. 4897.
Pressing the pushbutton programmed in this way activates the call
towards all the units with the same intercom code as one of those
programmed on the pushbutton.
By lifting the receiver, any one of the internal units receiving the call
can enter into communication with the caller.
The communication is ended by hanging up the receiver.
