GENERAL

Intercom interface Art. 4897 allows direct communication with the
internal extensions of the Simplebus series.
The interface can manage up to 8 users which have a MAX of 4
different user codes (4 flats).
As standard, the monitors are fitted with door-opening function, call
to porter switchboard /auxiliary pushbutton, and self-lighting/video
request. It is possible to have optional cards for particular
requirements (e.g.: LEDs and additional pushbuttons).
All the internal extensions are also fitted with the floor door call function.
The intercom system can also operate independently without
connection of a door entry phone or video entry phone system (see
diagram SBC/011). External units of the Powercom, Vandalcom,
Logicom and Firenze Series can be used in Simplebus intercom
systems.

AIN FUNCTIONS
• Programming internal unit pushbutton functions by means of
hand-held programmer Art. 1251.
• The 8 internal intercom extensions can ring at the same time on
a call from the external unit or from the floor door.
• Possibility of intercom calls in groups.
• Announcement of a call from the external unit differing in the
receiver according to whether the call is to a user in sound
intercom or to another sound user.
• Possibility of inclusion in an intercom conversation by the external unit.
• Possibility of having two conversations at the same time on the
same stretch of the system: one conversation with the external
unit and one between intercom users.
• Self-configuration of the intercom network from Art. 4897.
• Conversation secrecy between users connected to al riser and
intercom users.
• Conversation secrecy between intercom users having a
conversation and the other intercom extensions not involved.

WARNINGS

Carefully follow the instructions given by the manufacturer.
All the pieces of apparatus making up the system must only be
used for the purpose they were designed for.

use of the apparatus, for modifications made by third parties for
any reason and purpose, for the use of accessories and materials
which are not originals.
Carry out installation in compliance with the standards in force.
All the products conform to the prescriptions of the EEC 73/23-
89/336 Directives and this is certified by the CE mark on them.
Avoid placing the riser wires near power supply cables (220/400V).
Warnings for the user.
In the case of a fault or malfunction of any part of the system, only
contact the installer or qualified personnel.

INTERNAL VIDEO EXTENSIONS

Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of faults and electric shocks:
• Do not remove the cover or personally carry out any repairs. In
case of need, ask for the intervention of qualified personnel.
• Do not insert any objects or let any liquids get inside the device.
• Do not block circulation of air by obstructing the special slats.

• Art. 4701W/A Monitor of the Videocom series, dimensions:
193x223x65, wall-mounted.
• Art. 4700W/I Monitor of the Videocom series, dimensions:
193x223x65, flush-mounted (68mm depth in wall).
Can only be installed in the flush-mounting box Art. 4514 - see
page 20.
• Art. 4700W Monitor of the Videocom series, dimensions:
193x223x65, semi flush-mounted (49mm depth in wall).
Can be installed in box Art. 4514 but also in flush-mounting
boxes for 3 DIN module civil series (Art. 4517) - see page 20.
Technical characteristics
White RAL9010 colour with B/W 4.5" direct vision screen.
All the pushbuttons can be programmed by means of Art. 1251.
To be completed with bracket Art. 4714W/2I on which pushbutton
programming is carried out. The monitor is complete with:
1. Hooks for fixing to the bracket.
2. Brightness adjustment (turn to vary the intensity).
3. Call volume adjustment
(move to the left to increase the volume).

5. Pushbutton 1/free. Set in factory on Call to Switchboard
Art. 1998 function.
6. Pushbutton 2. Set in factory on Self-lighting / Video request
function.

* only available with optional card Art. 4703.
Use of the old Videocom series monitor 4701W can cause operating
problems.
