INTERCOM INTERFACE MODULE
Art. 4897
The intercom interface Module Art. 4897 is contained in an 8
module DIN box.
Dimensions: 140x140x67 mm (8 DIN modules).
To access the withdrawable connection terminals, remove the side
cover as shown in the figure.
Art. 4897 must be supplied at 24VAC by means of transformer
Art.1195.
Carry out the cabling operations and connection of the system, with
the mains power supply disconnected.
Since there is a PTC protection, to put it back into operation after a
short-circuit, turn the power supply off for about one minute.

The device manages a Max of 8 intercom extensions, connected to
the 4 outputs of the intercom interface Art. 4897. A MAX of 3
extensions in cascade can be installed for every extension of the
intercom network (see installation rules on page 24).
Configuration of the intercom network connected to Art. 4897 is
made to recognise the interface by means of simple self-
configuration of the article once the internal units connected to it
have been set (see "Programming interface module Art. 4897 for
self-learning" on page 29).
In the door entry phone only systems, Art. 4897 must be set to
Simplebus1 operation (see "How to set Art. 4897 for operation with
Simplebus1" on page 31).

Withdrawable terminals for connection to the system:
Lin Lin connection to the riser Bus line.
INA GND input for external control.
24Vac connection to the terminals of transformer Art. 1195.
L1 L1 extension output 1 of the intercom network.

JP1 jumper for selecting type of operation (Simplebus2 or
