3. General Description

3.1. Use

The pump type C 80 W is a single stage, portable centrif-
ugal pump, suitable for pumping clean water. Applications
are, for example, flat intake operation down to about 2 mm
of water level, discharge of reservoirs, as an emergency
pump for flooding, circulation pump for garden ponds, etc.
The pump type C 135 W is also suitable to pump waste-
water with solids up to Ø 8 mm.
Abrasive or other aggressive substances might destroy
the pump. The pump is not suitable for use of fluids con-
taining abrasive dirt, sand, mud or clay additions. With
chemically aggressive components in the pumped fluid,
it is important to observe the resistance of the pump ma-
terials used.
The temperature of the medium may be up to 35 °C and
the pH-value should be 5 - 11.

3.2. Type of Application

The motor is designed for the operating mode S1 (con-
tinuous operation) with a max. switching frequency of 15
switches/hour. The hydraulics are suitable for the perma-
nent continuous operation.

3.3. Design

The fully submersible unit consists of the motor, the
pump housing and the appropriate impeller. All main com-
ponents are generously dimensioned.
