Maintenance and care

With the exception of the friction linings, the AKS is
maintenance-free.
We recommend thoroughly cleaning all moving
parts after use, however.
Approved cleaning agents:
„
Thinner, spirit, brake cleaning fluid.
„
No oil or grease may get onto the friction surface
„
and/or ball coupling during lubrication.
The coating on the trailer hitch ball must be removed
„
completely.
The surface of the trailer hitch ball must be free of
„
rust and scoring.

Repairs

Repair work may only be carried out by competent spe-
cialist workshops or our AL-KO Service Centres.

Warranty

We will eliminate any material defects or manufacturing defects during the statutory period of limitation; at our discre-
tion, this will be effected either by repair or replacement. The period of limitation is determined in accordance with the
laws of the country in which the machine was purchased.

Dirt or foreign bodies between friction lining
and trailer hitch ball
Trailer hitch ball coated
Removable trailer hitch ball has too much
play in the locking mechanism
Incorrect or worn trailer hitch ball (< 49 mm)
Front and rear friction lining shells are show-
ing signs of increased wear

Spare parts

Spare parts are safety parts!
For installation of spare parts in our products, we ex-

clusively recommend original AL-KO parts or parts
expressly approved by us for installation.
In order to clearly identify spare parts, our service
„
stations require the spare part identification number
(ETI).

Disposal

Machines, batteries and rechargeable batter-
ies that are no longer required must not be
disposed of with household waste!
Packaging, machine and accessories are manufactured
using recyclable materials and must be disposed of ac-
cordingly.
