Exchanging the coupling
Horizontal screwed connection (
„
1. Unscrew the self-locking nuts.
2. Drive out the existing hexagon bolts with the sup-
plied installation bolt.
Leave the bolt for centring the shock absorber in the
drawtube.
3. Remove the installed coupling.
4. Push the AKS and any required spacer brackets
onto the trailer drawbar until the attachment holes
meet up ( 7 -a).
5. Guide an Allen screw with washer through the slot
( 7 -b).
Always push horizontal screws through from the left!
Reason: clearances and anti-theft device – Safety
(accessory).
6. Drive out the installation bolt with the other Allen
screw.
The shock absorber is threaded on.
7. Screw on new self-locking nuts and tighten the bolts
with a tightening torque.
Cross connection (

1. Follow steps 1-4 from the section "Horizontal
screwed connection" (
2. Push the vertical bolt through the attachment hole
from above ( 8 -b).
3. Push the existing profiled washer onto the bottom
of the bolt and screw on a new self-locking nut
( 8 -c).
4. Guide an Allen screw with washer through the slot
( 8 -d).
5. Screw on a new self-locking nut and tighten the bolt
with a tightening torque.

Exchanging the coupling
Horizontal screwed connection (
„
1. Unscrew the self-locking nuts.
2. Pull out the existing hexagon bolts and remove the
installed coupling.
3. Push the AKS onto the trailer drawbar until the at-
tachment holes meet up.
4. Push the hexagon bolts through the attachment
holes.
5. Screw on new self-locking nuts and tighten them
with a tightening torque.
Caution!
For the AKS 3504, use washers on both sides of
the slot!

of the bolt and screw on a new self-locking nut
( 8 -c).
4. Guide an hexagon bolt with washer through the slot
( 8 -d).
5. Screw on a new self-locking nut with washer and
tighten the nut with a tightening torque.
