7. Operation of the control unit / remote
control
a) Front side of the control unit

LC-Display
• ON/OFF switch
After the control unit has been switched ON, it performs a self-test.
• Liquid-crystal display (LCD)
It indicates, beside the bar for volume setting, the configuration of the loudspea-
kers and the various operating modes.
• IR receiver
The IR receiver is located behind the transparent front panel. Always direct the
remote control in the direction of the control unit.
• MODE button
It serves to call or to select/retransfer the setting mode.
• ENTER button
Push this button to activate settings, or to exit the setting mode.
• TEST/UP button
It serves as selection button (UP function) in setting mode or to call up the test
mode.
• MUTE/DOWN button
It serves as selection button (DOWN function) in setting mode or to activate
muting.
