Possible solution
• Are the subwoofer's power supply unit and the con-
trol unit's plug-in power supply unit connected to a
proper mains socket-outlet; are sub-woofer and
control unit switched ON?
• Has the loudspeaker set been connected to the
line output of the sound card?
In most cases, the latter is marked with "L-O", "OUT".
Please observe the instructions pertaining to your
sound card or your motherboard if it disposes of an
on-board sound card.
• Does the digital output of the sound card have to be
activated first? Read the instructions regarding your
sound card.
This applies likewise for the dialog output of other
audio devices.
• Check whether you have activated the correct
input on the control unit.
• Is the volume control set correctly? Check the
master volume control on the back of the subwoo-
fer.
• Check your sound card and its volume control.
Normally, the menu bar of Windows 95/98 compri-
ses a small loudspeaker icon which serves to
activate the volume control.
• Check the connection to the loudspeakers and theire
location. Activate the test mode to check the louds-
peakers' location.
