Warning! To avoid the danger of
an electric shock or burning:
– Always remove the plug from the
mains socket before starting to
clean the appliance.
– Never immerse the appliance in
water, and protect it from
splashes and water droplets.
– Before

the risk of burns.
Caution! Never use abrasive, corrosive or
caustic cleaning materials. These could
damage the appliance as well as the non-
stick coating.
Note: Do not leave it too long to clean the
appliance, otherwise residues of batter may
dry on and be difficult to remove.

8.1 Basic recipe

Ingredients for about 12 crêpes:
• 6 eggs
• 1 l milk
• 500 g flour
• 3 tbsp. cooking oil
Preparation:
1. Beat the milk and eggs together in a
bowl.
2. Gradually add the flour.
3. Gradually add the oil.
4. Mix the batter until smooth.
5. Leave the batter to stand for about 1
hour before making the crêpes.

1. Wipe the bottom section 2 with a soft,
damp cloth. You can also use a little mild
detergent, but if doing so, take care to wipe
the appliance again afterwards with clean
water to avoid any aftertaste affecting the
flavour of the crêpes.

Tip: Add the toppings of your choice to the
crêpes, e.g. sugar, cinnamon, apple sauce,
cheese, ham, chocolate cream, Amaretto,
eggnog, hot cherries etc.
8.2 Crêpes Vatel
Ingredients:
• 250 g flour, sieved
• 75 g sugar
• 1 pinch salt
• 3 eggs
• 3 egg yolks
• 200 ml thick cream (crème fraiche)
• 100 g melted butter
• 1/2 l boiled milk
• Maraschino (cherry liqueur, for flavour)
