DSP
DSP OFF:
The digital signal processor is switched off.
POP M:
The sound characteristic is adapted to pop music.
ROCK M:
The sound characteristic is adapted to rock music.
CLASS M:
The sound characteristic is adapted to classical music.
FLAT M:
DSP is active, but there is no sound adaptation.
LOUD ON/OFF
LOUD ON:
The loudness correction is active.
LOUD OFF:
The loudness correction is inactive. The sound is not influenced.
At low volumes the human ear does not perceive very low and very high sounds well. An increase of
the frequency range for low volume (loudness correction) counteracts this effect and the music replay
sounds more natural.
ESP 12/45
ESP 12:
The storage capacity for the electronic anti-shock function (suppression of vibrations) is 12
seconds.
ESP 45:
The storage capacity for the electronic anti-shock function is 45 seconds.
The audio data are stored in an interim storage for a short time to guarantee a continuous replay even
in case of vibrations and shocks when the CD player would normally produce an interruption.
The higher the setting, the better interruptions are prevented.
MULT ON/OFF
MULT ON:
Multi-session CDs are replayed completely.
MULT OFF:
Only the first session of multi-session CDs is replayed.
CDs you burn yourself can be recorded in several sessions (several successive burning
processes).
If the MULT OFF function is activated, only the fist session of such a CD will be played.
