11. Alarm System Activation

• Ensure that the alarm system is deactivated and that no alarms are stored (see chapter "13. Overview of
the Optical and Acoustic Signals").
• Press the key switch for at least 1 second until two beeps signal that exit delay is now active. Release
the key switch immediately after the beeps.
• During exit delay, the "ZONE STATUS" LED flashes. The exit delay is 60 seconds.
• If an error is present in an alarm zone, the LED "ZONE STATUS" and the corresponding zone LED (ZONE
1 - 6) are lit. In this case, check the sensor/detector connection lines and all windows and doors for being
closed accordingly.
• The alarm system is activated after the end of the exit delay. This is signaled by two short flashes per
second by the "ZONE STATUS" LED.
Alarm zone bypass:
If an error is present in one alarm zone and it is not removed during the exit delay, the respective alarm
zone is switched to bypass operation. The other alarm zones are activated normally after the end of the
exit delay.
The following visual features occur when the alarm system is activated and an alarm system is subject to
error:
• The LED "ZONE STATUS" and the corresponding zone LED are lit during exit delay.
• The LED "ZONE STATUS" is lit and the corresponding zone LED flashes after activation of the alarm
system.
To activate the alarm zone subject to error as well, the error in the alarm zone must be found and
removed first. The alarm system also must be deactivated and reactivated.
