4 Channel USB DVR

Intended Use
This 4 channel USB DVR is intended for recording and viewing video and audio on a
PC or laptop. The 4 channel USB DVR has 4 video inputs, 1 audio input (Cinch) and
1 video output (Cinch). It is connected to a PC or laptop via USB (USB cable is not
supplied).
The power is supplied via the enclosed wall-plug transformer (5V/DC).
The 4-channel USB DVR and the wall-plug transformer supplied are only intended for
use in dry indoor locations.
Operating the product in any other way than described above is not permitted and
may lead to damage to the product, which can give rise to risks such as short circuit,
fire and electric shock. The product must not be modified or converted. Always
observe the safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Read the
operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.

Explanation of the Symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger
of electric shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during han-
dling, operation and control.
The „Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to
observe these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for
any consequential damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety
instructions. The warranty will be void in such cases.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inad-
missible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The design of the wall-plug transformer complies with protection class II.
Only connect the wall-plug transformer to a normal mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz) connected to the public grid.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children.
Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
• Please contact a qualified person, if you are unsure about the safety and
correct use of the system components.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of
children!
• The 4 channel USB DVR and the wall-plug transformer must not be
exposed to extreme temperatures, damp, direct sunlight, intense vibra-
tions, or heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the 4 channel USB DVR and the wall-
plug transformer require some time to stabilise, in order to adjust to the
surrounding temperature, before they can be used.
Wait until the product has reached room temperature, before use.
• The 4 channel USB DVR and the enclosed wall-plug transformer are only
intended for use in dry indoor locations.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental drops, even from a low height.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible,
disconnect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent
operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not function any longer and

- the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a long
period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transportation.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical service or another specialist.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.
