• And finally the rain alarm can be switched on or off. "AL OF" or "AL ON" flashes on the
display. Switch the rain alarm off ("AL OF") or on ("AL ON") with the " SINCE" (B) or
" HISTORY" (C) buttons.
If there is rain a tone signal is triggered (can be deactivated by briefly pressing any key on
the front).
• After pressing the "RAIN SETTING" (A) button last, the display of the time (or date) will
appear and the setting mode is completed.

In order to call the setting mode again, the time or the date has to be shown on
the display of the base station (if necessary press "RAIN SETTING" (A) button
several times, until you see this display).
Afterwards hold the "RAIN SETTING" (A) button down for several seconds,
until the display mode for the clock ("12h" or "24h") starts to flash on the display.
Now you can carry out the setting as described.
If you want to jump a setting, simply press the "RAIN SETTING" (A) button
several times, without adjusting a value.
The setting mode is automatically left each time you don't press a key for about
10 seconds. The changes carried out so far are saved.

b) Exterior unit Inserting the batteries

• Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the exterior unit. To do this you will need
a suitable screwdriver.
• Insert 2 type mignon/AA batteries with correct polarity into the battery compartment. Pay
attention to correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-, see imprint in battery compartment
and on batteries).

For the use of rechargeable batteries, please note chapter 6.
• Between the batteries there is a countersunk button visible which is labelled "TX". It can be
carefully actuated with, e.g. a toothpick (only press it briefly), so that the exterior unit
instantly sends a data packet to the base station.
Otherwise simply wait until the exterior unit independently starts transmitting.
