2. Prescribed Use

The "radio-controlled rain gauge" is a high-quality gauging station for rainfall.
The product consists of two main parts, the exterior unit with rain water catchment tank,
measuring element, integrated outdoor thermometer and radio transmitter as well as the base
station. The latter must only be operated in closed indoors, it must not get damp or wet!
The base station has a large LC display where not only the rain amount and a graphic history
is displayed ("History") but also the indoor or outdoor temperature (switchable °C/°F), the time
(optional the date) and a trend display for the indoor and/or outdoor temperature.
For the indoor/outdoor temperature there is a min/max memory available, a temperature alarm
can also be activated (if a temperature is exceeded or falls below a certain level, this is
indicated via tone signal).
The product is intended for private use, it is not suitable for medical purposes or for informing
the public.
The manufacturer does not take on responsibility for incorrect displays, recordings or weather
forecasts and consequences which may result from it.
The product is not a toy, it contains breakable and swallowable parts, futhermore it contains
batteries. Keep the product out of reach of children.
Set up all components in a way so that they are out of children's reach.
The product is operated via batteries. The exterior unit (rain gauge/outdoor temperature
sensor) transmits the data via radio (433MHz technology), the range depends on the ambient
conditions.
Any use other than the one described above may damage the product
and there are also other possible dangers. Please take note of all safety
instructions and operating notes in these operating instructions!

Read these operating instructions thoroughly and carefully, they contain a lot
of important information for installation, operation and handling.
