5. Inserting/Replacing the Batteries

• Unscrew the four screws on the housing lid with a suitable screwdriver until
the housing can be taken off with the screws.
• When you use the device for the very first time, you should now read the
chapter "Addressing" and set the address of the temperature sensor with the
jumpers.
The address has to be set before inserting the batteries, otherwise
the change of address will not be recognised.
• If you have not done it already, the temperature sensor can be installed on
eg a wall via two mounting holes, see chapter "Installation".
• Insert two size AA batteries with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and
minus/-).

• Replace the housing lid and tighten the four screws.
• A battery change is necessary when the display of the corresponding sensor
has disappeared for over 24 hours (and there is no interference in the radio
transmission).
After having changed the battery it may take a little while until the
corresponding temperature data are displayed on the weather station. A
temperature display for the sensor has to appear during the daily sensor
search (8am and 6pm) at the latest
When changing the batteries, make sure that no dampness or dirt
gets into the device.
