DCF Projection clock
with indoor temperature

Intended use
This alarm clock provides you with the following functions: The exact time, alarm function, repeat alarm,
background illumination and projection of the time on a wall or ceiling. This alarm clock is only intended for
indoor use. Power is supplied by two 1.5 volt batteries (AAA).
Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to associated
risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep
them for further reference.

Battery installation / change of batteries
Observe correct polarity while inserting the batteries. Remove the
batteries if the device is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage
through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns
when contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle
corrupted batteries.
Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying
around, as there is risk, which children or pets could swallow it.
Replace all the batteries at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries in
the device can lead to battery leakage and device damage.
Make sure that batteries are not dismantled, short-circuited or thrown
into fire. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of
explosion!

Open the battery case cover on the back of the device.
2.
Insert the batteries into the battery case while paying attention to the correct polarity "+" positive; "-"
negative), (two 1.5 V batteries, type AAA Micro)
3.
Put the cover back on.
Functional description
The DCF radio signal for the exact time, (exact to within 1 second per million years) is coded and broadcast
from a transmitter in Maiflingen near Frankfurt, Germany. The transmitter has a range of approx. 1,500 km.
Clocks with integrated radio receivers can receive and decode the radio signal within range of this radio signal.
For these clocks, manually setting the time is not necessary (e.g. when changing from winter to summer time).
The automatic change between summer and winter time takes 24 hours, at most.

Automatic synchronisation
After fitting the batteries, the clock will immediately start the synchronisation process. The clock will now start
to search for the DCF radio time signal. Wait for for the clock to set itself. If the clock does not set itself, move
it closer to a window or turn it through 90°. Then remove the batteries and replace them after 1 minute. To
minimise interference to the reception, you should not place the alarm clock in the vicinity of metal objects
or other electrical apparatus. If the synchronisation was successful, the current time will appear and the „
" icon is on.
If the reception attempt fails, attempts to receive the signal will be repeated during the next 4
hours. Attempts to receive the signal are repeated every three hours for 10 minutes.
A) Manual reception of the DCF signal
1. Press the "Wave/Set" button (C) briefly to start a reception attempt.
2. The device undertakes a reception attempt.
B) Time zone and language
1. Hold the "SET/WAVE" button (C) down until the time zone and language displays flash.
2. Push the "–" button (D) to switch between the languages.
3. Push the "+" button (G) to switch between the time zones.

C) Time and calendar setting
1.
Press the "SET/WAVE" button (C) to confirm the input.
2.
The year flashes. Press the "+" (G) or "–" (D) buttons to set the year.
3.
Press the "SET/WAVE" button (C) to confirm the input.
4.
The date flashes. Press the "+" (G) or "–" (D) buttons to set the date (day/month).
5.
Press the "SET/WAVE" button (C) to confirm the input.
6.
The time flashes. Press the "+" (G) or "–" (D) buttons to set the minutes and afterwards the hours.
7.
Press the "SET/WAVE" button (C) to confirm the input. The seconds are reset to zero.
8.
Press the "+" (G) button to change the format (12 or 24 h); the "–" (D) button changes the display format of
the temperature (°C or °F).
9.
Press the "SET/WAVE" button (C) to confirm the input.
10.
The "Reset" button (E) resets all settings.
Should the temperature be outside the measurement range, "Hi" or "Low" is indicated in the
temperature display.
D) Display lighting and projector
1.
Switch the display lighting on by means of the "Snooze/Light" button (B).
2.
Turn the "Projector Focus" control (F) for the focus setting of the projection.
The projection is only suitable for dark rooms. Projection in daylight will not be visible.
E) Alarm function
1.
Press the "+" (G) or "–" (D) buttons to set the alarm time. Repeated pressing continues switching in intervals
of one minute each. Hold the button down to run the alarm time.
2.
Switch the alarm function on or off with the "SNOOZE/ALARM ON/OFF/LOCK" slide switch (A).
3.
The alarm will sound at the set time. Pressing the "Snooze/Light" button (B) turns it off. It will sound again
the next day at the set time (ALM ON = On, ALM OFF = Off).
F) Activation of the snooze function
1.
Switch the snooze function on or off with the "SNOOZE/ALARM ON/OFF/LOCK" slide switch (A) (Snooze
= On).
2.
When the snooze function is activated, press the "Snooze/Light" button (B) to switch the alarm off; it will
sound again after a 5-minute waiting period. That works for two cycles only.
G) Lock function
1.
Switch the lock function on or off with the "SNOOZE/ALARM ON/OFF/LOCK" slide switch (A) (Lock = On).
2.
This function prevents settings from being altered in case buttons are accidentally pressed.
Care and maintenance
The enclosure is to be wiped off with a soft dry cloth, as needed. If there is more dirt, please use a lightly
moistened cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Disposal
Dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to
relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as
municipal waste.
Used batteries/ accumulators disposal
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and accumulators.
Disposing used batteries in the household waste is prohibited! Batteries/
accumulators containing hazardous substances are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin.
The symbol indicates that the product is forbidden to be disposed via the domestic refuse.
The chemical symbols for the respective hazardous substances are Cd = Cadmium, Hg =
Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can return used batteries/ accumulators free of charge to any collecting point of your local
authority, our stores or where batteries/ accumulators are sold.
Consequently you comply with your legal obligations and contribute to environmental protection!
