Safety Instructions

• This measuring module may not be used in installations of over-
voltage category III according to IEC 664. The measuring module
is not protected against arc explosions (IEC 1010-2-031, clause
13.101).
• Keep measuring devices away from children!
• On commercial premises, the accident prevention regulations of
the Association of Industrial Professional Associations with res-
pect to electrical systems and operating equipment must be ob-
served.
• In schools, training establishments, hobby and self-help works-
hops, the use of measuring modules shall be responsibly super-
vised by trained personnel.
• Take particular care when dealing with voltages greater than 25
V.a.c. or 35 V.d.c. At these voltages, contact with a live conduc-
tor can cause an electric shock which is life-threatening. There-
fore, first disconnect from the voltage source, connect the mea-

suring device to the terminal of the voltage source to be measu-
red, set the required voltage range on the measuring device and
then reconnect the voltage source. On completion of the measu-
rement, disconnect the voltage source and disconnect the mea-
suring cables from the terminal of the voltage source.
• Isolate the panelmeter from the measuring circuit before carrying
out any operations on the measuring unit.
• Check your panelmeter and its (connector) measuring cables for
damage before each measurement.
