dangers. Improperly executed adjustments might result in dangerous laser radiation.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversions and/or modifi cations to the product are not permitted.
• Before the product is fi rst put into operation, the operator must notify the responsible accident insurer and
the public authority responsible for occupational health and safety (generally the industrial inspectorate)
and name a person who will be accountable for laser safety.
• When operating the laser equipment, always make sure that the laser beam is directed so that no one is in
the projection area and that unintentional refl ected beams (e.g. from refl ective objects) cannot be directed
into areas where people are present.
• Laser radiation can be dangerous, if the laser beam or its refl ection enters unprotected eyes. Therefore,

Installation

The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a specialist who
is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. Repairs, operation and mainte-
nance of the product may only be carried out by qualifi ed personnel.
When selecting the location for installing your device, take care that it will not be sub-
jected to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold or moisture. Furthermore, keep the prod-
uct away from strong transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
When installing the product ensure that the power supply unit's power cord is not
jammed or damaged by sharp edges.
During installation and service work, the area below the installation location must be
cordoned off.
The installation surface or the mounting fi xture must be designed, so as to withstand 10
times the payload for at least 1 hour without permanently damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety restraint,
which is independent of the proper mounting supports, when it is installed in an
elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the installation should be able to
fall down.
All the relevant regulations in this regard must be observed exactly when the device is
being installed.
Keep a free area of 15 cm around the housing to ensure unhindered heat dissipation.
Otherwise, the laser may overheat.
Highly fl ammable materials, such as decorative fabrics must be kept at least 50 cm away
from the device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fi re!
Installation approval:
Before using for the fi rst time and after any signifi cant modifi cations, the installation (including the electrical
connections) must be checked by a specialist.
An annual check by a technical expert is required.
At least every four years, an acceptance inspection must be carried out by a technical expert.
Installation on the stand
• Screw the tripod to the tripod socket on the bottom of the housing. Secure the fi xture by tightening the
counter nut (knurled head screw) to the tripod.
• Set the incline angle of the stand as desired and tighten the clamping screws on the joints.
Installation with a mounting bracket
• Install the laser effect device using a mounting bracket on the ceiling, the wall or on a suitable crossbeam.
When installing it, make sure that the device cannot swing freely .
• Secure the device with fastenings that are compatible with the fastening surface and suitable for carrying
the weight of the light effect device.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The safety restraint cable or
net must be able to support the light effect device in the event of a fault in the main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and tighten the two bracket locking screws carefully to the housing.
