• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation to the product is not
permitted.
• As power supply, only use the supplied mains adapter.
• Only connect the power adaptor to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply.
Before plugging in the power adaptor, check whether the voltage stated on the power adaptor
complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adaptors if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power unit from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the
grips on the plug.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power unit from the mains socket during storms.
• Adjustments or maintenance should only be carried out by trained professionals who are
aware of the dangers. Improperly executed adjustments might result in dangerous laser radia-
tion.
• When operating the laser equipment, always make sure that the laser beam is directed so that
no one is in the projection area and that unintentional refl ected beams (e.g. from refl ective
objects) cannot be directed into areas where people are present.
• Laser radiation can be dangerous, if the laser beam or its refl ection enters unprotected eyes.
Therefore, before using the laser equipment, familiarise yourself with the statutory regulations
and instructions for operating such a laser device.
• Never look into the laser beam and never point it at people or animals. Do not use optical

Version 08/11
• Never look directly into the laser beam when the device is in operation. The intense light
rays could temporarily impair your eyesight. Moreover, they may trigger epileptic seizures for
°
vulnerable persons. This applies in particular to epileptics.
• The device is not a toy. Children and adolescents cannot judge the dangers of electrical de-
vices and lasers.
• Inspect the laser unit from time to time for damage. Should the laser unit or the power supply
unit show any damage, disconnect them from the power supply (unplug the power supply
unit). Do not use the product afterwards, instead take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour liquids over electrical appliances and never leave objects fi lled with liquids (e.g.
vases) in the vicinity of the device. You run the risk of causing a fi re or a fatal electric shock.
If liquids enter the device, immediately disconnect it from the power supply, unplug the power
supply unit from the mains and consult an expert.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not place open fl ames, such as burning candles, on or close to the device.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for children.
• Do not leave the device in operation when it is unattended. For safety reasons, unplug from
the mains socket after each operation.
• Do not use the device in a tropical climate.

Installation

The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a spe-
cialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. Repairs,
operation and maintenance of the product may only be carried out by quali-
fi ed personnel.
When selecting the location for installing your device, take care that it will
not be subjected to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold or moisture. Further-
more, keep the product away from strong transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
When installing the product ensure that the power supply unit's power cord
is not jammed or damaged by sharp edges.
During installation and service work, the area below the installation location
must be cordoned off.
The installation surface, or mounting fi xture, must be designed so that it can
withstand 10 times the loading capacity for at least 1 hour without permanent
damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is independent of the proper mounting supports, when it is
installed in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the in-
stallation should be able to fall down.
Observe all the relevant regulations when installing the device.
Keep a free area of 15 cm around the housing to ensure unhindered heat dis-
sipation. Otherwise, the laser may overheat.
