Persons / Product
• Keep devices to be operated by mains supply away from children. Special care is required when the product is used in
the presence of children, especially when children try to insert objects into the product openings. There is a risk of lethal
electric shock!
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material for children.
• The operator must observe all accident prevention regulations issued by the industrial Employer's Liability Insurance
Association for electric appliances and equipment.
• Installation, implementation and operation of the product must only be performed by qualified experts and according to the
requirements mentioned herein. Keep children and ordinary persons away from the product.
• Do not place open flames such as lit candles on top of or directly next to the product.
• Never leave the product unattended during use.
• Connect the product only to an isolated ground receptacle (100 - 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz) of the public power supply.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains socket using the intended
grips.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an extended period of time.
• For safety reasons, always unplug the device in case of a thunderstorm.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical stress. Avoid
excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the
mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective
circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is
damaged.
• To prevent risks, damaged power cables may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a professional workshop appointed by
the manufacturer, or a similarly qualified person.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not place any containers filled with liquids, such as cups, buckets, vases or plants, on top of or near the product. Liquids
could enter the housing and hence affect the electric safety. There is also a risk of fire or fatal electric shock! In such a case,
disconnect the mains supply to the mains socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug. Do not
operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not switch the product on and off rapidly. This would significantly shorten the life span of the product.
• Do not operate the product via dimmer packs. Always connect the mains cable directly to the power supply.
• The product is not suitable for continuous operation. Stop operation after a maximum of 2 hours and wait until the product
has cooled down. Adhering to such intervals will prolong the life span of the product.
• When you move the product from a cold room to a warm room, do not connect the mains plug immediately. The
condensation generated could destroy the device. Leave the device disconnected until it has reached room temperature.
Wait until the condensation has evaporated.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases,
vapours and solvents.
