IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read through all the instructions before starting to use the appliance.
Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
1. This appliance must only be operated as instructed in this user
manual.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
3. This appliance is only designed for indoor use. Do not place it in
direct sunlight, high-temperature areas or near computers or
sensitive electronic equipment. Keep the appliance away from
heat sources such as stoves, heaters, etc.
4. Place the appliance on a firm, even, non-metallic and waterproof
surface. Make sure that it is standing securely
so that it cannot tip over or fall down.
5. Do not direct the mist outlet directly at people, walls, electrical
appliances or any objects.
6. Only connect the appliance to a single-phase AC supply to
the voltage shown on the rating plate.
7. Unwind the power cord completely. Failure to do so could cause
overheating and possible fire hazard.
8. Do not tug at the power cord to disconnect the plug. Do not
touch the power cord with wet hands. Do not remove the power
plug from the power socket while the product is in use.
9. Do not use accessories, spare parts or components not expected
and / or provided by the manufacturer.
10. Do not use an extension cord or a solid-state speed-control
device. Doing so could cause overheating, fire hazard or electric
shock.
11. Do not cover the mist outlet or put anything on it while the
humidifier is running.
12. Always switch the appliance off and disconnect the power plug
from the power socket when the appliance is not in use, during
transport and cleaning.
13. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
14. Do not use this appliance if it is damaged or shows any signs of
possible damage or if it is not functioning properly. Disconnect
the power plug from the power socket.
15. Only put clean, cool, tap water in the tank. Do not use hot water
or mineral/distilled water.
16. In areas where the water is very hard there might be an output
of minerals, noticeable as 'white dust'. To limit this effect it is
recommended to use demineralized water.

17. Do not add any substances into the water (e.g. inhalant, aromatic
substances etc.). This can cause health hazards to people and
could damage the product.
18. Do not operate the humidifier without water or when the water
tank is empty. Doing so could damage the humidifier.
19. Do not touch the ultrasonic transducer when the humidifier
is operating. Doing so could cause burns.
20. When a humidifier is used in closed or small rooms, excessive
humidity can condense on furniture, walls and floors. If this is
the case, ventilate the room and/or reduce the output with
the mist regulation knob.
21. Clean the appliance regularly by following the "Cleaning
Instructions".

FIRST TIME USE
(See appendix A on page 4)
The water pump has been secured to the inside of the humidifier to
ensure safe transportation. Please remove tape and insert pump into
the correct position.
DEMINERALIZATION CARTRIDGE
(See appendix B on page 5)
The demineralization cartridge should be changed every 30 fillings
depending on your water quality. Indications that you should change
your cartridge are white coloured particles settling in the base of the
humidifier.
CLEANING
Clean the outer surfaces of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use petroleum, thinners or any other chemicals.
CLEANING INVOLVES TWO STEPS, SCALE REMOVAL AND
DISINFECTING. BE SURE TO PERFORM THESE IN THE PROPER
ORDER TO AVOID HARMFUL CHEMICAL INTERACTIONS.
The following parts are dishwasher safe (top rack) and therefore
do not need to be cleaned as described below
- Clear protection cover
- Water tray
- Pump
- Mist outlet
SCALE REMOVAL (See appendix C on page 6)
1. Remove the demineralisation cartridge before cleaning
2. Wipe base and tank with undiluted vinegar
3. Add a few spoons of vinegar into the tank and fill with 1
liter of water
4. Place the hose in the tank and soak for 20 minutes
5. Ensure the water level sensor is kept clean by wiping with a
cloth dipped in vinegar
6. Rinse thoroughly
DISINFECTING (See appendix D on page 7)
1. Fill water tank with 1 tea spoon of bleach and 3-4 liters
of cool water
2. Wipe base with same solution
3. Wait 20 minutes and then rinse thoroughly until smell
of bleach is gone.

clean the humidifier and ensure it is completely dry before storage.
remove demineralisation cartridge. Place in the original box and
store in a cool, dry place
DISPOSAL
Please do not dispose of this product in the household waste
at the end of its useful life. Disposal can take place at your
local retailer or at appropriate collection points provided.
This regulation is valid only in EU member states.

As condition of purchase the purchaser assumes responsibility for
the correct use and care of this KAZ product according to these user
instructions. The purchaser or user must himself or herself decide
when and for how long this KAZ product is in use.
WARNING: IF PROBLEMS ARISE WITH THIS KAZ PRODUCT,
PLEASE OBSERVE THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE WARANTEE
CONDITIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN OR REPAIR THE KAZ
PRODUCT YOURSELF, AS THIS COULD LEAD TO TERMINATION
OF THE WARANTEE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO PERSONS AND
PROPERTY.
