- Remove the empty batteries and replace them by
three new ones of the type micro (AAA). Ensure cor-
rect polarity (see figure or marks inside the battery
compartment (14).
- Push the battery compartment cover (15) back onto
the Pocket Scale until it locks into place.
Always observe correct polarity of the bat-
teries. Wrongly inserted batteries might
destroy the device and the guarantee will
expire.
If you do not use the Pocket Scale for a
longer period of time, remove the batteries
from the device and keep them separately,
because leaking battery liquid might dam-
age the scale.
Do not let batteries lie around openly. There
is the risk of batteries being swallowed by
children or pets. In such case, seek immedi-
ate medical care! Leaking or damaged bat-
teries might cause acid burns when getting
into contact with the skin. Therefore, use
suitable protective gloves. Never try to
recharge batteries! Do not throw them into
fire!

turer.
- Press again the ZERO key (10) to get into the calibrat-
ing mode.
- The display now shows the necessary calibrating
weight (PS-250 = 100.00g / PS-500 = 200.00g).
- Now, put the respective, optionally available calibrat-
ing weight onto the weighing plate (2).
- Press the ZERO key (10). Now, the calibration process
starts. After calibration, the display indicates "PASS".
- Press the TARE key (9) to get back into the normal
weighing mode.
If calibration goes wrong, repeat the calibra-
tion process.
In order to ensure sufficient accuracy, the
optionally available calibration weight must
be three times more accurate than the
Pocket Scale.
Counting mode
The Pocket Scale is equipped with a counting mode.
By means of this function, it is possible to quickly count
quantities of small pieces.
- Switch on the Pocket Scale and select the range
"Pcs" (pieces) by means of the mode key (8).
