The device itself is EMC-tested and thus meets the requirement of
current European and national guidelines. Conformity has been de-
monstrated and the relevant declarations and documentation are
on file at the manufacturers.

Regulation use of the detector includes:
Measurement and display (optically and acoustically) of electro-
magnetic fields of intensity greater than approx. 2 mgauss to 30
mgauss max.
Operating under adverse environmental conditions is not permit-
ted. Adverse environmental conditions are:
• Damp or excessive humidity,
• Dust and combustible gases, vapors or solvents,
• For safety reasons, operation of the measuring device in an indu-
strial environment is not permitted.
Use of the measuring device other than previously described will
result in damage to the device, and also implies risks, such as
short circuits, fire or electric shocks, etc. No part of the product
must be changed or modified in any way! Please observe the No-
tes on Safety!

Operating controls

1. On/Off/Range switch. This switch is operated to switch the de-
tector on and off, as well as to toggle between the ranges I and II.
2. LED display with (2a) a green LED for operating mode and
battery change display, (2b) LED display (green) for 2 mgauss or
10 mgauss (ranges I or II), (2c) LED display (yellow) for 5 mgauss
or 20 mgauss (I or II) and (2d) LED display (red) for 10 mgauss or
30 mgauss (I or II).
