Preparing the Device / Filling the Fresh Water Reservoir
CAUTION!
■ Only fi ll the fresh water reservoir with the enclosed cleaner or with commercially-
available carpet cleaners for carpet washers.
■ Do not use any high-foaming cleaners as an excessive amount of foam impairs the
functioning of the device. If unsuitable cleaning agents are used, the warranty claim
expires.
Cleaning the Carpet
CAUTION!
■ Do not use the device as a conventional vacuum cleaner.
■ Always make sure that there is no risk of the device tipping over. The water could
leak out of the water reservoirs. To stow the device, position the handle in an upright
position so that it locks into place.
■ Never leave the device on when unattended.
■ Turn off the device before you remove the water reservoirs.
■ Do not excessively wet the carpet.
1. Determine where you want to start and stop cleaning without stepping on the area
of the carpet that was just cleaned. We recommend that right-handed persons start
on the right carpet border and left handed persons start on the left carpet border.
Cleaning solution may leak out of device once it is deactivated. For this reason, have
a cloth laid out that you can place the device on after use.
2. Completely unwind the mains cord from the hook (3), insert it in the cord bracket (2)
and connect it with an easily accessible socket whose mains voltage corresponds to
the device's technical data.

1. Hold the fresh water reservoir (6) by the handle and pull up
the unlocking lever (5). The reservoir is released from the
locking mechanism.
2. Remove the fresh water reservoir from the device.
3. Unscrew the ring cap on the bottom of the reservoir and
remove the valve together with the water hose.
4. Fill some carpet cleaner into the reservoir. Please note the
dosing instructions of the carpet cleaner.
5. Fill the fresh water reservoir up to the MAX fi lling line with
warm water (max. 40 °C). Preferably use distilled water to
prevent calcifi cation.
6. Then close the reservoir using the valve and ring cap.
7. Insert the fresh water reservoir into the centre piece (13).
