NOTICE: Damage to the unit
● If operated during the build phase,
damage to unit caused by contamina-
tion of the ventilation unit and piping.
Ventilation unit operation is not permit-
ted during the build phase.
● Grease and oil vapours from range
hoods may contaminate the unit and
ventilation ducts and reduce efficiency.
Never use ventilation unit in combina-
tion with range hoods, that are connected
directly to the controlled domestic venti-
lation exhaust air channel. In rooms with
greasy exhaust air, e.g. kitchens, only
use ventilation valves with a grease filter.
Recommendation: In terms of energy con-
sumption, use range hoods in circulating
air mode.
● Damage to unit caused by condensate
if ventilation units with enthalpy ex-
changers are used in rooms with
exhaust air humidity with an air
humidity of > 70 % RH.
Never use ventilation units with enthalpy
exchangers for long periods at an air
humidity > 70 % (can be used briefly up
to an RH of around 80%) (for example in
swimming pool complexes or to dry out
new builds). The ventilation unit does not
have a condensate drain and will be dam-
aged by excess condensate that cannot be
removed. The surroundings may also be
damaged by water escaping.
● Corrosion of metal parts inside the ven-
tilation unit by additional components
in the exhaust duct.
Do not use components which affect
temperature, moisture or air volumes on
the exhaust duct, for example if a drying
cabinet is connected to the exhaust duct.

6 Safety instructions
!
Read and observe all the
safety instructions.
WARNING
!
Risks for people (including
children) with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabili-
ties or a lack of knowledge.
Ventilation unit may only
be installed, commissioned,
cleaned and maintained by
people who can safely recog-
nise and avoid the risks asso-
ciated with this work.
DANGER
!
Risk during transport from
heavy or falling loads.
Observe applicable safety
and accident prevention
requirements.
Note permissible maximum
loading capacity of lifting gear.
Standing under suspended
loads is not permitted.
Exercise caution when lifting.
Note transport weight (up to
73 kg) and centre of gravity of
ventilation unit (centre).
