Safety instructions

To avoid potentially fatal electric shocks:
•The rating of the local power supply must tally completely
with the details given on the rating plate of the appliance.
•Never immerse the cooking plate in water. Just wipe it with
a damp cloth. Should fluids penetrate into the cooking plate
there is the risk of receiving an electric shock!
•Arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables to be repla-
ced at once by qualified technicians or by our Customer Servi-
ce Department.
•Arrange for damaged or malfunctioning appliances to be in-
spected and/or repaired by a qualified specialist or the
Customer Service Department as soon as possible.
To avoid the risks of fire and burn injuries:
•Never leave the appliance unattended whilst in use.
•This appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of
age and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca-
pabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive
from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used,
and they have understood the potential risks.
•Children should not play with the appliance.
•Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by
children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are
supervised. Children younger than 8 years of age are to be
kept away from the appliance and the power cable.
•Ensure that the appliance stands with a safe and secure po-
sitioning.
•Ensure that the power plug is easily accessible
in cases of danger, and that there is no risk of tripping over
the cable.
