8.1

Transport

Only transport the diaphragm valve by

suitable means. Do not drop. Handle
carefully.
Dispose of packing material according

to relevant local or national disposal
regulations / environmental protection
laws.
8.2

Delivery and performance

Check that all parts are present and

check for any damage immediately upon
receipt.
The scope of delivery is apparent from

the dispatch documents and the design
from the order number.
The valve's delivery condition:

The performance of the diaphragm valve

is checked at the factory.

Storage

Store the diaphragm valve free from dust

and moisture in its original packaging.
Avoid UV rays and direct sunlight.

Solvents, chemicals, acids, fuels or

similar fl uids must not be stored in the
same room as valves and their spare
parts.

Tools required

The tools required for installation and

assembly are not included in the scope
of delivery.
Use appropriate, functional and safe tools.

GEMÜ R690 is a plastic diaphragm valve.
Actuator version D is available for 2/2-way
bodies. The valve has a low maintenance
membrane actuator which can be controlled
by air or inert gases. All medium wetted
parts and the actuator housing are made of
high-grade plastic materials which can be
selected to suit the application. The valve
body and the diaphragm are available in
various designs as shown in the data sheet.
Accessories: stroke limiter, electrical position
indicator with microswitches or proximity
switches, pneumatic or electropneumatic
positioner and process controller, pilot
valves.
