General information on microwaves

WARNING
Microwave hazard!
Microwaves can be emitted if the door
is insuffi ciently sealed when closed. Un-
der such circumstances, the device may
not be used.
Pay particular attention to the clean-

liness of the door seals and door seal
faces along with all adjacent parts.
Do not use the device if the door is
■
broken or damaged, or if the door
lock, its hinges or the door seals show
any signs of damage, or if the door
cannot be closed tightly for any other
reason.
CAUTION
Risk of scalding!
A boiling delay can occur when heating
liquids. Hot liquid can suddenly spurt
out, e.g. when removing a dish from the
device.
In order to avoid a boiling delay,

place a spoon in the container.
The spoon must always maintain a
minimum distance of 2 cm from the
inner walls of the device.
The development of heat inside the ap-
pliance while cooking food can gener-
ate steam.
Avoid contact with the hot steam
■
that escapes when opening the door.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
During its use, the device and its ex-
posed parts can become hot.
Please avoid touching hot appliance
■
parts and cookware.
Children aged 8 years or younger
■
must be kept away from the device,
unless they are under constant super-
vision.
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
Any improper use of the device can lead
to fi re.
In case of a fi re or smoke in the

cooking chamber: do not open the
door! Switch off the device, unplug
at the mains or turn off / remove the
fuse.
Ensure suffi cient ventilation. Do not

cover the ventilation openings, e.g.
with oven mitts.
