This mode is useful when it is convenient to maintain a constant blower
speed. You may use it for driving at night with sleeping passengers at a
constant blower speed of 1 to reduce the noise with a minimum A/C function.

3.1.3 Ventilation

The ventilation function is activated by the
operation speeds. To change the ventilation speed the ventilation function

When you select the ventilation function, the fresh air flap (air renewal) is
automatically opened. For closing the fresh air flap, the operator must press

3.1.4 Internal / External Temperature

The desired temperature will be displayed for 5 seconds.
The display will then return automatically to the set temperature.
3.1.4.1 Energy Save Mode
When external temperature is lower than internal temperature and external
temperature is below 20 °C with cooling mode selected, the clutch waits for 3
minutes to be engaged (when internal temperature is below set-point +6 K) or
1 minute to be engaged (when internal temperature is above set-point +6 K).

3.1.4.2 Compressor
The compressor is activated in accordance with the temperature, the pressure
switches and the programmed values of the set-point. The compressor will
start operation 10 seconds after the condenser motors activation.
The controller provides a time hysteresis fixed at 60 seconds for restarting the
compressor, i.e. the compressor will be kept inoperative for a minimum time
of 60 seconds before reactivation. When the external temperature is below
15 °C in cooling mode, the system tries to cool down with fresh air and the
clutch may be disengaged.
3.1.4.3 Condenser Motors
The condenser motors will start every time there is the need to turn on the
compressor.
They will always run for 10 seconds before the compressor clutch is engaged.
3.1.4.4 System Pressure Switches
The system checks its high and low pressure by means of serial pressure
switches connected with the clutch. They are constantly monitored by the
control board. In case of a pressure failure, the clutch will be disengaged
immediately. Then the system will detect failure after 2 seconds and will start
indicating
at the display alternating with the temperature reading.
As soon as the pressure problem disappears and the AUTO mode is on and
the other conditions have been met, the system will wait for 3 minutes to allow
for compressor reactivation. This alarm condition is constantly monitored, no
matter if the system is on or not. Consequently the alarm may be indicated
even with the AUTO mode off.
In case this alarm occurs 6 times or more within 30 minutes, the
will be activated to indicate a serious system failure, A/C operation will be
blocked. For a system reset it will be necessary to turn the vehicle ignition off
and then on again.
3.1.4.5 Freezing of the Evaporator Coil
The system includes a device for monitoring the thermostat which senses the
freezing of the evaporator coil. When the device responds (open contact) the
compressor clutch disengages and the evaporator motors are kept in
operation to allow the coil to defrost.
