This speed controller allows you to use LiPo and MiMh batteries.
One is for LiPo- and other is for NiMH battery used. This is
absolutely necessary, since the drive battery is otherwise damaged:

About the TYPE jumper you can be select whether in normal mode
(ESC) or in the crawl mode (active brake) is to be moved.
Always use normal mode when operating ships or boats.

(normally channel 2) of the receiver and connect the motor

• Mount the motor with the appropriate screws on the motor
holder. Only screws of a suitable length must be used. Using
screws that are too long can damage the motor.
• The speed controller must be mounted in the model in such a
way that the cooling area largely remains unobstructed. The
