g) Readings beyond the measuring range
• If a current temperature or humidity reading is below the measuring range, the

• The
daylight saving time symbol appears, once the device receives the daylight
saving time signal.
• If you want to deactivate the automatic daylight saving time function, please refer
to chapter "a) Manually setting the date and time" and proceed accordingly. The
automatic daylight saving time function is activated by factory default.
i) Resetting the radio wall clock
• Press the RESET button (10) using a pointed object (e.g. with an unfolded paper
/
clip), if the display does not show any concrete readings. The radio wall clock will
be reset. This will cause all previous settings to be deleted. The radio wall clock will
switch to DCF reception mode.
Any manual settings, such as alarm time, must be set again.

Maintenance and cleaning

• Apart from replacing the batteries, this product is maintenance-free. Never
dismantle.
• Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other
chemical solvents, as those can damage the housing or even affect the operation
of the product.
• Never submerge the product in water.
• Remove the batteries before cleaning. Clean the product with a clean, soft and dry
cloth only.

regulations of the directive 1999/5/EC.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with
applicable regulatory guidelines.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the
product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality,
our stores or wherever batteries are sold.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
