4. Operation

AFTER INSTALLATION WAIT 12 HOURS
BEFORE YOU CONNECT YOUR APPLIANCE TO THE MAINS!

4.1 Temperature control

1. You can select the setting-level of the temperature from MIN (warmest setting)
to MAX (coldest setting).
2. When you operate the appliance for the first time: (a.) Set the thermostat to the
coldest setting. (b.) Select your desired setting after 24 to 48 hours.
3. Select the medium setting MED for daily use.
4. When the appliance has been disconnected from the mains or switched off or in
case of a power failure, you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the
appliance.
5. The description of the setting levels represents standard values only.
WARNING The setting OFF/AUS switches off the compressor only.
You must unplug the appliance to disconnect it from the mains.

4.2 Operational parameters

1. The appliance can only reach the relevant temperatures when:
a. the a ambient temperature meets the climatic class.
b. the doors close properly.
c. you do not open the doors too often or too long.
d. the door seals are in proper condition.
e. the appliance is properly positioned.
f. you have not overfilled the appliance.
g. you do not store warm or hot food in the appliance.
2. When the ambient temperature is very high, it is recommended to set the
thermostat to a colder setting if needed. If the colder setting should cause strong
formation of encrusted ice, please select a lower setting.
3. High ambient temperatures and simultaneously operating at the coldest setting
may make the compressor operate permanently to keep the temperature
constant inside the appliance.
4. Defrost the appliance periodically as encrusted ice will decrease the power and
increase the energy consumption of the appliance.
