16. Battery life

The typical operating life of 10 years is reached under the following
conditions:
The smoke detector has to be commissioned at the latest one year
after production. Twelve function tests may be made per year and a
full alarm of 90 seconds can be carried out.
One start-up and two range tests can be carried out during the enti-
re service life and one line test can be carried out per year.
