Mechanical installation

DANGER!
Important – Danger of fatal injury!
Working under the vehicle without suitable support and safety measures represents a risk of fatal
injury!
Always use a lifting platform or an assembly pit, and secure your caravan to prevent inadvertent
movements!
DANGER!
Danger from accidental movement!
Never lie or bend down under an unsecured vehicle! Before carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning work, remove the drives from the wheels (apply the caravan's handbrake). Secure the
remote control against unauthorised operation.
A summary of the overall installation (Fig. 1)
1. Park the caravan on a firm, flat surface. To ensure easier access and for your own personal safety, the
use of a lifting platform or assembly pit is strongly recommended.
2. Unpack the individual parts and check that all parts are present (see pack list).
3. Clean the area in which the components are to be installed in order to ensure problem-free installation.
4. Ensure that the caravan is ready for the installation. Before installation, you should check that key
parts such as drains / spare tyres, etc. do not create an obstacle when using the manoeuvring tool.
5. Ensure that the two driver rollers are released (Fig. 5A) since the unit will not fit correctly otherwise
(note: if the rollers are fully released, a green field with an arrow pointing away from the drive roller is
visible in the display) (Fig. 05A)
6. Now loosely install the left-hand motor unit (4), the right-hand motor unit (1) and the main connect-
ing rod (10) (Fig. 3). The screws (Fig. 3A) on the main connecting rod (10) to secure both motor units
must be tightened at this point to no more than hand-tight.
Mount the manoeuvring tool on the front of the axle. If this is not possible due to obstacles
ADVICE
or too-high a payload, the manoeuvring tool can also be mounted behind the axle. To do this,
rotate the entire unit by 180° (Fig. 3).
7. Before installing the mounting plates, it is essential that the two mounting plates (11) are secured
loosely to the chassis first (Fig. 4 & 1). To do this, use screws M10 x 60, nuts M10 and washers M10
(18, 19, 20) and secure these so they are "hand-tight" into the angled holes on the mounting plates so
that the plates can still be moved.
8. Now position the entire manoeuvring tool using the two U-clips (12), screws M10 x 50, nuts M10 and
washers M10 on the aluminium mounting plates.
9. Ensure that the aluminium drive rollers of the manoeuvring tool are at approximately the same height
as the wheel hubs on the caravan (± 20 mm). Spacers are available for this. These are aluminium
spacers with a thickness of 15 mm and they are supplied inclusive of the screws as a set. A maxi-
mum of three spacers can be installed on top of each other so that a height difference of 45 mm can
be compensated.
CAUTION!
Note that the minimum floor clearance between the lowest point of the manoeuvring tool and
the floor must be no less than 110 mm!
