Electrically activate both door handles

Warning!
No panic functionality for door handles on both sides without function: The product version with
deactivated door handles on both sides offers no panic functionality and may not be mounted in escape
route doors Tab. 1.
Some product versions offer the possibility of checking both passage directions, wherein the door handles
on both sides initially have no function and can be electrically activated or deactivated. In this case the
inside and outside door handles are connected to each other by a handle pin passing through the door.

Status messages for the control system

In the electric security lock 809M there are, depending on the product version, two or four monitoring
contacts (Tab. 4) which serve as an electronic transmitter for superordinate control systems. All monito-
ring contacts are potential-free switching contacts (Pic. 6).

Fail-unlocked and fail-locked in the event of an emergency

The electric security lock 809M is available in "fail-unlocked" and "fail-locked" product versions.
In the fail-locked version the outer handle is deactivated when no electrical current flows. Therefore in
normal operating mode no current flows permanently.
In the fail-unlocked version the outer handle is deactivated when electrical current flows. Therefore in
normal operating mode current flows permanently. The current is disconnected for passage through the
door from the outside.
In the fail-unlocked product version one door can also be passed through from outside if the power fails
and therefore free accessibility is enabled for the fire brigade and rescue services in the event of an
emergency.
Description
The bolt contact is switched when
∙ the bolt is closed at least 90 %.
The inner handle contact is switched when
∙ the inner door handle is operated,
∙ the activated outer door handle ("Electrically activate outside door hand-
les", page 40) is operated. ) is operated.
The outer handle contact is switched when
∙ the outer door handle is operated.
The profile cylinder contact is switched when
∙ the lock cylinder has been turned completely,
∙ after the bolt has switched,
∙ before the door bolt unlocks.
