If faults occur, please read the operating instructions to determine whether you have followed all the instructions cor-
rectly.

Malfunction
Machine does not run smoothly
Upper thread breaks
Lower thread breaks
Needle breaks
Machine misses stitches
Puckering or gathering of the seam

Problem
Machine needs to be oiled
Dust and threads in shuttle track
Foreign objects on the teeth of the fabric feeder
Incorrect oil has been used and has blocked the machine
Machine is not threaded correctly
Thread tension is too high
Needle is bent or blunt
Thread thickness is not right for the needle
Needle is not inserted correctly
Fabric was not pulled through from back at end of seam
Needle plate, bobbin or presser foot is damaged
Lower thread tangles because the thread is wound on to
bobbin incorrectly
Lower thread is not under the tension spring in the bob-
bin case
Needle is inserted incorrectly
Needle is bent
Needle is too fine
Fabric is pulled while sewing
Knot in the thread: Cut the thread off and rethread
For twin needles: The stitch width is greater than 3 or a
special programme has been used.
Needle is inserted incorrectly
Needle is threaded incorrectly
Needle and/or thread is not suitable for fabric
Fabric is too heavy or hard
Fabric is pulled while sewing
Upper thread tension is too high
Machine is threaded incorrectly
Needle is too large for the fabric
