7.4. Removing and fi tting the presser foot holder
The presser foot holder (29) does not need to be removed unless you want to
darn or embroider, or make space to clean the fabric feeder.
7.4.1. Removing
 Move the needle (26) to its top position by turning the hand wheel (21) to-
wards you and raise the presser foot lever (17).
 Remove the foot from the presser foot holder (29) and undo the presser
foot holder screw (30) using the screwdriver provided.
7.4.2. Attaching
 Move the needle (26) to its top position by turning the hand wheel (21) to-
wards you and raise the presser foot lever (17).
 When you attach the presser foot holder (29), push it upwards as far as pos-
sible and tighten the presser foot holder screw (30) using the screwdriver
provided.

7.5. Caring for the sewing machine

The sewing machine is a sensitive mechanical product and requires regular
maintenance to ensure it always functions perfectly.
You can carry out this maintenance yourself.
Above all, maintenance means Cleaning and oiling.
NOTICE
Only use high-quality sewing machine oils. Other oils are not suitable.
Please note that after oiling, there may be oil residue in the machine. To get rid
of this residue, sew a few stitches on a swatch or scrap of fabric. This will stop
your actual fabric from getting soiled.
