7.14 SETUP: PASSWORD SETTING

When you select this function, a message appears at the center of the screen:
Type the password, up to eight characters, and press ↵. Typing a password
clears any previously entered password from CMOS memory.
Now the message changes:
Again, type the password and press ↵.
To abort the process at any time, press Esc.
In the Security Option item in the BIOS Features Setup screen, select System or
Setup:
System Enter a password each time the system
boots and when ever you enter Setup.
Setup Enter a password when ever you enter
Setup.
NOTE:
To clear the password, simply press ↵ when asked to enter
a password. Then the password function is disabled.
